Apple and Amazon dump Parler
Apple and Amazon are removing Parler from their companies as part of a rising backlash immediately after the social media community was among the all those applied to organise Wednesday’s riots at the US Capitol.
Apple dropped Parler from its Application Keep, whilst Amazon’s cloud device decided to cease hosting the social media system from Sunday evening. They joined Google, which removed the app from its Google Participate in store on Friday, saying that it made an “ongoing and urgent community safety threat”.
Parler, which is common with extremist teams seeking an alternative to more mainstream social media web sites, has come under hearth because the storming of the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob.
